It’s October already?

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

Wow, time has flown by faster than I would like it to. From what I can remember when I last blogged, it was still summer and now the leaves are golden and the air is crisp. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing; I just wished I was able to summer more and not focused on my apartment so much.

Now that I have my DSL up and running (Yay!), I can start blogging again. For a moment, I was thinking of closing down BR.com and setting up a Blogger site. The more I thought about it, the more I preferred to have complete control of my blog — so here is where I’ll stay.

With the weather getting colder, I’ve been having the urge to do a bit of shopping. I’m in dire need of warmer clothes! Most of wardrobe consists of spring/summer attire because I donated my old autumn/winter clothes to Goodwill. Why? They no longer fit me or no longer my taste. But with the budget I’ve given myself, I can’t splurge just yet… I just don’t have the extra cash right now.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to get back into a bit of designing on the side. Then again, I’m thinking of doing product reviews, too. So many ideas — it’s making my head spin!

Settling in.

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

Two weeks ago, I moved in slowly into my new apartment. It may not feel like completely home, but I’m loving it so far. Bedroom and bathroom are complete, as well as the kitchen. Although, the living and dining rooms are still in progress. I’m in no hurry since I’m trying to stay within a budget.

I guess that’s one of the downside of living on my own now: Being more conservative with my money. I’m not saying I spent money without a care when I was living with my parents. I just happen to have spent on a lot of unnecessary things. In the last few days, my money has been going towards improving or enhancing my new little abode.

As soon as I get more settled in, I will definitely post photos. I’ll try to take a photo of the view from my private lanai (patio deck) depending on the weather or time of day.
